The Disney Name
When you hear “Disney,” what comes to mind? For most people, Disney means Mickey Mouse and cartoons. When it comes to vacations, Disney had been sononymous with theme parks. Over the past few decades, Disney has also put themselves at the forefront of family cruising – bringing the magic of the parks to the high seas, with character meetings, fireworks at sea, etc.
Then, in 2005, Adventures by Disney (or AbD, for short) was introduced, unlike anything else Disney had done before. These Adventures are family-focused guided group tours, that emphasize the rich history and local experiences in destinations all around the world. You won’t see Mickey at breakfast and Cinderella never wanders through these castles. Instead, you will find authentic experiences combined with the level of Disney service you’ve come to expect.
Traveling with Adventures by Disney
That’s all well and good, but what does it really mean? What does it mean to travel around the world with Disney? Soon, I’ll be able to tell you. I was invited to represent my agency, Magical Moments Vacations, on my first Adventure by Disney!
In a few short weeks, I will be flying to Prague, Czech Republic, to begin a 9 day adventure around Central Europe. To kick things off, we received an AbD backpack, luggage tag, and detailed itinerary booklet.
